Hiroshima University 75+75th Anniversary Project “The 2nd HU SPRING Matchmaking Event”

We are pleased to inform you that Hiroshima University 75+75th Anniversary Project “The 2nd HU SPRING at Hiroshima University Matchmaking Event for Cross-disciplinary Research” will be held as shown below.
Research Fellows and STEM Female Research Fellows are also encouraged to attend this event and actively collaborate with other graduate students across disciplines.
We expect these cross-disciplinary interactions will help to enhance your research capabilities. We look forward to your active participation!

[Objective]

To enhance cross-disciplinary exchange for doctoral students!
To create research collaborations that include researchers from various disciplines with complementary strengths!

*This year’s event will be held onsite only, without a networking website.

[Outline]

1.You can participate in the event as either a Presenter or a Match Seeker.
*Only HU graduate students are eligible to participate in this event as Presenters, but Match Seekers can be anyone, including those from outside HU.

 

2.Please register yourself as a Presenter/Match Seeker at the registration Form (https://forms.office.com/r/dUAdff1T5z).
*If you do not receive the registration confirmation e-mail, please check your spam folder.

 

3.Presenters (doctoral students) will create a research profile that consists of answers to three questions and an image that conveys their research interests.
The three questions will be about the Presenters’ research interests, ideas for future collaboration, and their technical expertise.
The profile information should be submitted to the ” Profile creating form ” provided in the registration confirmation e-mail by 5 pm on August 29.
* Please try to make your research profile easy to understand for those who are not familiar with your academic field.
* Please be sure to confirm with your supervisor whether or not you are allowed to share your research at this event.

 

4.The research profile provided by the Presenters will be posted in the HALL (3rd floor) of Hiroshima Convention Hall from the 24th to the 25th September for the in-person networking event.

 

5.Please visit the venue as Match Seekers during the in-person networking event open hours. Match Seekers will “connect” with Presenters by commenting on Presenters’ profiles using a sticky note.
All participants are encouraged to interact at the in-person event.
*Please visit the venue at your convenience during the open hours.
However, presenter should stay at the venue during either of the following times as much as possible, as these times will be used to facilitate interaction among participants at the venue.

6.After the event, posters displayed and all comments from the Match Seekers will be photographed and published in the cloud.
We hope that the Presenters and Match Seekers will continue to interact and that this will be an opportunity for collaboration.
