Call for participants! Sweden and Japan collaborative MIRAI seminar at Kyushu University

Hiroshima University is participating in the MIRAI Project (*1), an international research exchange project consisting of top universities in Japan and Sweden. In the second phase, (2020-2023), which started in 2020, five breakout groups were set up based on the topics listed below (*2). Those groups have organized symposia and workshops with the aim of furthering international collaboration between Japan and Sweden.

The MIRAI 2.0 Research and Innovation week (R&I week) will be held in person at Kyushu University from 15 to 18 November, 2022. The R&I week is a good opportunity to present your research and get involved in international collaboration.

Application for Participation

● Eligibility:
Researchers, Lecturers, Teachers and PhD students of the university.
*Students must obtain permission from their supervisor to participate in the event.

● Hiroshima University will support 15 people with the funds for transportation and accommodation (up to 50,000JPY per person). *You will be notified by the International office of Hiroshima University if you are selected to receive support.

(*1) MIRAI Member Universities:

From 2017-2019 seven Swedish and eight Japanese Universities joined together in the MIRAI project and research seminars, workshops, short courses for Ph.D., and Post-Docs and researcher mobility were implemented to strengthen collaboration between Sweden and Japan.
